ATI trains its Supply Officers on Property and Supply Management

CLARK, PAMPANGA -- To further enhance the knowledge and skills of Supply Officers on proper appraisal and disposal of government properties, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) conducts the ‘Training Workshop on Property and Supply Management’ with focus on acquisition and disposition phases.

The 2007 Management Letter on the Audit sent to ATI by the Commission on Audit recommended that supply officers of Institute including the supply officers of the ATI Network of Training Centers (RTC) to conduct actual physical count of all Plant Property and Equipment (PPE). Hence, the ATI acting on this recommendation gathered all designated supply officers of the Institute to attend the training workshop that would aid them in the proper conduct of physical inventory and preparation of corresponding reports. The workshop also aims to educate the participants on the process of procurement under the revised implementing rules and regulations of Republic Act 9184 or the Government Procurement Act.

Jose Damole and Joselito Caballero, Senior Technical Audit Specialists from the Commission of Audit (COA) serve as the resource speakers, where they deliver a lecture on Overview of Property and Supply Management System, Republic Act 9184 and Disposal and Appraisal of Government Properties.

The training workshop is being conducted in Oasis Hotel, Clark, Pampanga from November 9 to 12, 2009. (Benedict C. Natividad)
