ATI to hold 2009 Mid-year Assessment and Planning Workshop

The Agricultural Training Institute plays an active role in the implementation of the priority programs of the Department of Agriculture for 2009. Hence, the Institute is coming up with a mid year assessment and planning workshop on August 4-7, 2009 at Bohol Tropics in Tagbilaran, Bohol.
With this year's theme Ensuring Efficiency in AFE Program Management Towards a Stronger ATI, the workshop aims to explain the strategic framework and directions of the Philippine agricultural extension system; discuss the Institute's new directions and thrusts towards the improvement of its services; assess the performance of the Institute for the first semester of 2009; describe the planning, monitoring and evaluation process and resolve related issues on the Institute's operations, and share good extension practices.
A total of 73 participants from the ATI Management Committee and representatives from the ATI Training Centers nationwide will be expected to come out with an Action Plan to improve efficiency in program implementation, revised CY 2009 Work and Financial Plan, agreed PME and budgeting tools.
After the mid year review, ATI`s unsung heroes and heroines will continuously and unconditionally show their prowess and commitments to achieve their individual and collective targets, hence, empowering their clients to help create a robust economy, combat malnutrition and hunger, and increase farm family productivity.
