• Developing national standards on a wide variety of knowledge products and services.
• Developing and establishing Agriculture and Fisheries Knowledge Centers to strengthen capacities of local government units (LGUs)  to provide AF extension services.
• Providing electronic extension (e-extension) services to the Department of Agriculture and other Extension Service Providers including LGUs and other agencies to meet the information and communication needs of AF extension.
