This is a compilation of the ATI Director's current initiatives demonstrating the ardor for improving agricultural extension, as well as the welfare of men and women in the field.

ATI and the Philippine Agriculture and Fisheries Electronic Extension Program

   
 
With the onset of the age of communication and information technology 
(ICT), the Philippines together with the rest of world have been transforming
itself into an electronically enabled society. As early as 1997, the Philippines
laid down a policy framework that signaled the growth of the ICT industry and
diffusion into the life of the Filipino. 
 

ATI Gears Up for New Youth Development Program Implementation

The Agricultural Training Institute’s (ATI) Rural Based Organization Coordinators and the 4-H Club Youth Development Program Management Team crafted systems, procedures and guidelines for the implementation of the 4-H Club Youth Development Program in a 2-day workshop at Punta de Fabian in Baras, Rizal.

 The workshop aims to formulate systems and mechanisms to ensure the success of the program along the three major components of the program namely,: education and training; 4-H Clubs organizational strengthening; and support for livelihood projects.

COCAFM Instructs AFMA Agencies to Structure Programs & Budget Along AFMA Specified Policy Instruments; ATI Leads IEC Function

The Congressional Committee on Agriculture and Fisheries Modernization (COCAFM), sitting en banc with heads of agencies last June 3, 2009, instructed the AFMA implementing agencies to structure their respective program and budget proposals for 2010 along the eight (8)  policy instruments mandated by the AFMA.
