Regional Workshop for 2nd Batch of SMS

Another set of experts trooped to ATI RTC IV-B  to participate in the Workshop towards a support to the knowledgebase for Agriculture & Fisheries.

OIC Center Director Pat Andrew B. Barrientos welcomed the participants and he said that he is very pleased with the turnouts of the participants which represents all five (5) provinces of the region. The participants who are also the subject matter specialists of different fields of expertise came from the Provincial Agriculturist Offices, Provincial Veterinarians' Offices, State Universities & Colleges, Regional Offices of DA and BFAR and farmer leaders which totaled to twenty-two (22) in all.

Our Planning officer, Ms. Mina D. Lanto jumpstarted the program by presenting the Overview of the Workshop. Ms. Graciel V. Gacutan, the center's ELO Coordinator, was the first resource person and she discussed the Updates on e-Extension Program while the Project Officer, Ruben P. Jugno, discussed the Conceptual Framework & Workflow of the Farmers' Contact Center.

The second half of the day was devoted to the first workshop which is the validation of list of experts in the region, issues & concerns and recommendations for the FFC. On the second day, the participants did another gruelling workshop on list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs).
