ATI-RTC X is not anymore accepting applications for Scholarship under the EHRDP and YAFP for the 1st semester of SY 2009-2010. The last day for accepting applications was set on June 1, 2009.
ATI Offers Scholarship for SY 2009-2010
The Agricultural Training Institute is again offering scholarship grants to deserving Agricultural Extension Workers of the Department of Agriculture and the Local Government Units for SY 2009-2010. Another scholarship for deserving children of smallholder farmers is also available. Applications for ESP Accreditation now Accepted
Interested private extension service providers may now apply for accreditation at the nearest ATI-RTC Offices. Application forms are already available at ATI-RTC 10 office, El Salvador, Misamis Oriental.
Dr. Mabeza back home at ATI-RTC10
Dr. Edna M. Mabeza, the dynamic Center Director of ATI-RTC 10 is back to steer the Center to greater heights. She was assigned for one year at the ATI Central Office in Diliman, Quezon City as Division Chief of the Extension Innovation and Training Division. She reported back to Region 10 on January 19,2009.
ATI-RTC X Leads Demo on Organic Farming during Earth Month Celebration
ATI-RTC X actively participated in the Earth Month Celebration spearheaded by the City of Iligan. Together with the Iligan City Solid Waste Management Office (ICSWMO), ATI-RTC X led the agri-technology demonstration on trichoderma composting, vermicomposting and nature farming technology on April 30, 2009 at Barangay Bonbonon, in Iligan City.
Flash Flood Affects Center Operations
Not only once but twice hit by flash floods, ATI-RTC 10 suffers damage to properties, projects, important documents and records. The technology demonstration projects in the compound such as fishpond, vermicomposting and organic vegetable production were also wiped out by the chest-level water. Damage to the ICT equipment hampered the flow of work which forced the employees to defer office transactions for the week.
106 New PalayCheck Trainers for Region 10
A total of 106 new PalayCheck Trainers underwent 6 days of intensive training on the PalayCheck System and Palayamanan Concept to boost rice production in Region 10.
