ATI-RTC X Leads Demo on Organic Farming during Earth Month Celebration

          ATI-RTC X actively participated in the Earth Month Celebration spearheaded by the City of Iligan. Together with the Iligan City Solid Waste Management Office (ICSWMO), ATI-RTC X through its satellite office in Iligan City led the agri-technology demonstration on trichoderma composting, vermicomposting and nature farming technology on April 30, 2009 at Barangay Bonbonon, in Iligan City. Various IEC materials produced by ATI on organic farming were distributed to the participants.  Other activities during the day were the educational tour and tree/bakhaw planting at Central Materials Recovery facility headed by Iligan City Mayor, Hon. Lawrence Ll. Cruz.

        The Earth Month celebration started on April 22, 2009 with a Motorcade around the City  and the Opening Program at the Children’s Park in Barangay San Miguel, Iligan City. Participants came en masse from the various sectors in the city including Local and National Offices, civil society, local organizations and  various barangays in the City.  Various activities will be conducted until the end of June 2009.
