Programs

Our Center implements eight (8) major programs based on the national programs of the Institute, namely:

1. e-Extension
"any place, any pace"
This is another strategy to reach out to as many clientele in the region as possible. This is in response to the clamor for more ATI presence in the provinces.

2. Training
"Learning is empowerment"

This program comprises the implementation of agricultural extension and training programs of the Center. Under this program, the maximum utilization and dissemination of appropriate technologies will be pursued. This is to ensure that extension workers and clientele, i.e. the farmers, fisherfolk, women, the rural youth and other stakeholders will not be left behind on the information available for agriculture modernization. The training programs are addressed to support the food security and poverty alleviation program thrusts of the Department of Agriculture (DA).

3. Techno-Demo
"Learning while doing and earning while learning"

Establishment of technology demonstrations on various commodities in coordination with LGUs, farmer-cooperators and other stakeholders.

4. Farm Business Advisory
"Our pool of experts await you"

This program aims to develop the entrepreneurial capability of the farmers’ cooperatives, association or individual farmers in the aspect of good agricultural postharvest and marketing practices, and enterprise management. Market linkage and advisory and other technical assistance will likewise be provided during consultations, conferences, exhibits and other fora.

5. Knowledge Management
"Knowledge is power"

With ATI gearing towards the pioneering work as a central repository of knowledge and technology, multimedia development will be institutionalized. This will entail website development and maintenance, database updating, and procurement of state-of-the-art equipment.

Linkages with various stakeholders will be vigorously pursued in order to foster partnership teamwork in the promotion and strengthening of extension service delivery.
