Cagayan AEWs were capacitated on database management

Cabagan, Isabela.  To keep pace with the advance technology on data management, the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) in the region conducted a three-day training on Computer-based Data Management for Rice Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs) for the provinces of Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino and Batanes.

Bayview Hotel, Manila.  In line with the thrust of the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) towards electronic extension, which the Institute is now being recognized, a Training on Personnel Management Information System (PMIS) and Local Area Network (LAN) was conducted for designated personnel officers and e-learning coordinators. 

SOA on palayamanan launched in seven radio stations

Cabagan, Isabela. The school-on-the air (SOA) program on palayamanan was launched on July 15, 2010 at seven radio stations in the region.  This is to update knowledge and skills of farmer-enrollees on palayamanan using radio as a tool.

NMRiceTXT pilots in ATI RTC 02

Los Banos, Laguna. It is another breakthrough for the Agricultural Training Institute- Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC 02)  for being one of the five pilot centers of the Nutrient Manager Rice Text (NMRiceTXT), a joint undertaking with International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) and the Department of Agriculture. 

4H clubs were capacitated after the organizational management training

San Mateo, Isabela.  As a continuous assistance to 4H clubs in the region, the Agricultural Training Institute - Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) in Region 02 conducted two batches of training on organizational management for 4H clubs. 

Five trainers on rice attends updates on palaycheck in Baguio City

Cabagan, Isabela.  Timely with the incoming Season Training of Trainers (TOT) on Palaycheck System, five rice trainers attended updates on rice production particularly on palaycheck system in the City of Pines, Baguio City.  The said trainers where three technical staff of the Agricultural Training Institute - Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) and two other technical staff from the Department of Agriculture-Regional Field Unit 02 (DA-RFU 02), will compose the facilitators of the incoming season-long training which will start on July 19, 2010.  They

ATI provides series of services for Batanes

Cabagan, Isabela.  The Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) in Region 02 conducts multiple activities in a visit at Batanes.  Being one of the coverage provinces in region 02, some staff of ATI will be going to Batanes on July 11, 2010 to conduct simultaneous activities for Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs), farmers and youth.

Municipal Agriculturists were revived after the enhancement course on ED and governance

Ramon, Isabela. Series of enhancement training on extension delivery and governance was conducted for Municipal Agriculturists (MAs) of region 2.  It was conducted on March 17-20 and June 17-18, 2010 at Waterworld Resort, Hotel and Recreational Park, Ramon, Isabela. 

With the role of MAs which is facilitating extension management and other services, the training aimed to equip the participant with the updates on experience-based  knowledge/extension management and governance for quality extension service.
