MALAYBALAY CITY, Bukidnon – A Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) Stakeholders Meeting took place at the Department of Agriculture-Regional Field Office 10 – Provincial Operations’ Center, Bukidnon Office, San Victores Street, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon last January 16, 2020. The meeting was presided by Engr. Deliza T. Camato, DA-Provincial Operations Center Head for Bukidnon.
ATI-X COMPOUND, El Salvador City---Serving as a refresher to the rest of the management and staff of the center, specifically the commodity point persons, a one-day mentoring on “Training Design Preparation” transpired on the first working day Thursday morning of January 2 this year.
Two Irrigators Association, the Kahaponan-Valencia Irrigators Association (KVIA) Inc. of Valencia City, Bukidnon and the Delapa Mibantang Sta. Cruz Communal Irrigators Association Inc. (DMSCIA) of Quezon, Bukidnon received PhP 1 Million check each as outstanding Irrigators Association under the National Irrigation and Communal Irrigation Categories respectively.

MALAYBALAY CITY, Bukidnon - The Training of Trainers on Inbred Rice Seeds Production and Farm Mechanization is being continuously conducted due to the passage of the Rice Tarrification Law (RTL), which seeks to replace the Quantitative Restriction (QR) on rice imports with tariffs and lifts the quantitative exports restrictions on rice.
Lantapan, Bukidnon---To stimulate innovation, worker performance and experience an increased well-being among employees, the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center X (ATI-RTC X) through the Career and Development Management Section (CDMS) conducted a training on Transformational Leadership and Management at the Binahon Agrofrestry Farm (BAFF) in Lantapan, Bukidon.
Mt. Makiling, Los Banos, Laguna---To promote agriculture as a decent and income-generating profession among young Filipinos, a national quiz bee via Kabataang OA was mounted recently. The said quiz bee is one of its strategies to promote indigenous but economically viable technologies that will entice the youth to pursue a career in farming.
El Salvador, Misamis Oriental---With malnutrition and hunger considered as persistent problems that our country encounters, the Gulayan sa Paaralan (GPP) Program was introduced to all public elementary and secondary schools nationwide with the intent to promote food security and economic stability.

Kauswagan, Lanao del Norte---The need to educate the goat farmers on the improved technology on goat management system as well as to improve their production and meet their respective clients prompted the center to mount the Season-Long Farmer Livestock School on Halal Goat Production.
VALENCIA CITY, Bukidnon – On November 12, the Philippine Information Agency-Bukidnon, sixteen (16) radio stations and three (3) news publication press from all over the Province of Bukidnon came together in order to dig deep into the topic of Rice Tarrification Law or RA 11203 and the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund.
Tubod, Lanao del Norte---Aimed to appease the hunger for more knowledge and an eagerness to augment the learnings in their respective organic farm sites, the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center X (ATI-RTC X) mounted a competency training on organic production for AEWs and practicing organic farmers.
ATI Compound, El Salvador City---The ATI-RTC X management and staff had its Third Party Surveillance Audit recently and Lead Auditor Charlie Labrador of TUV-SUD declared that the center is still ISO compliant. This means that the requirements of the standard of ISO 9001:2015 has been satisfied.
A total of 138 Mushroom enthusiasts attended the AgriTalk on Mushroom Production held on October 29, 2019 at Robinson’s Mall in Iligan City. The said agritalk was advertised only in the Facebook Page of ATI Northern Mindanao for around two weeks.
“The Rice Tariffication Law (RTL) is real. As rice farmers, we either let it defeat us or fight back. We can only fight if we change our paradigm and our usual way of farming. If we want to survive and triumph, we have to treat our farming as a business. We have to use proven technologies to decrease our cost of production and increase our income.

ATI Compound, El Salvador City---A back-to-back training workshop aimed to capacitate and enhance the knowledge and skills of young farmer participants on Farm Business School (FBS) and on cacao production and value-adding was mounted recently. The 30 young farmer participants, coming from the different parts of the region were mostly 4H-Club members with existing farms.
Extension services continue to evolve. With the challenges that extension workers and farmers face, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) continues to explore various strategies to improve its efforts as the extension and training arm of the Department of Agriculture. In over 30 years, the ATI has celebrated various successes and learned from the lessons during hard times. Nonetheless, we are proud to be standing the test of time through the support of our partners and the clientele themselves.
